Your support – our involvement

Connect & participate directly with people in need

Boat party smlZulu’s Community chooses to support and promote the following organisations and communities because:

  • Sue has a  direct  and personal  relationship with the women who run and delivercampaigns and programs to the people in their community.
  • Sue has visited some of these projects in country, become familiar with the people and has an understanding of how programs are delivered.

These are all GRASS ROOTS projects – run by women  who turn their talk and intentions in ACTION – stepping outside their own sphere of existance to help others in need.

Zulu Communications is proud to support all of these innitiatives and thanks you for your participation and support.

PF_Identity_w_tagline_only smlProject Futures is a not for profit organisation run by a network of young ( at heart) professionals dedicated to combating the illegal practice of sex trafficking._MG_6536

Sex trafficking is the buying and selling of women and children into forced commerical prostitution. Victims of trafficking are subject to rape, forced abortions, torture, starvation and threats to family members.  It is estimated that 2-4 million women and children will be sold into prostitution within a 12 month period.

Project Futures people work as volunteers to run awareness and fundraising events and campaigns to support those who are committed to stopping this dreadful and illegal industry. In Cambodia, Project Futures partners with the Somaly Mam Foundation.

*Donations raised from Candles for Community 2010 went toward christmas gifts for survivors of human trafficking in AUSTRALIA.

KENYA

Help the Buluma Family

KenyaJordan Swartz has been inspired to start his own venture now to help a Kenyan family who were displace through the violent riots that rocked the captial Nairobi in 2007.

Jordan’s update : May 25, 2008 – The family has been reunited in Nairobi. They are living in a much safer area now. The children are back in school, which is not an easy feat in Kenya, as everyone must pay for schooling. Had it not been for your generosity, schooling would not have been an option at this time because they lost everything during the riots. Thank you to everyone for helping to raise money for the Buluma family. Together we raised $8042. Your generosity will forever change their lives.

Please visit www.helpkenyanfamily.com for further information on Jordan’s project.
